regardless of your past, your future is spotless

Update, Some Recommendations, and Going Offline Indefinitely

I haven’t posted here for nearly a month. I was traveling, and then some cool stuff happened and I got very busy.

Earlier this summer I founded the group Small Business Against Big Government (www.sbabg.org) and it has taken off, exceeding my expectations, and requiring a very good chunk of my time. It’s been very exciting. We’ve been mentioned on a Fox News Show and have lately been talking with some very high profile individuals about expanding the group nationally in a significant way.

That being said, I will not be posting here for a while, maybe a long while, as I focus my attentions on SBABG. So, with that in mind, I’m going to pass along four suggestions/thoughts/ideas/whatevers.

1. We all need budgets. You need a budget. You need financial tracking software. Use Mint.com. It’s free. It’s secure. It’s all online. It’s elegant. Just use it.  It will make you way more productive.

2. If you’re not yet using an RSS reader and following blogs and newsites you like via RSS, then you’re spending too much time colleting info on the web.  Bring info to you by using a reader.  I like to use Google Reader.

3. Read the book Non-Violent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg.  It will change your life.  The most productive people I know, the best performers, are at peace with themselves and know how to work with others.  This book does a masterful job teaching how to be this way.

4.  Please connect with me at Goodreads, where we can share readings and book ideas.

5.  Join the conversation at Small Business Against Big Government, join our Facebook group, and share it with others!

Until next time!
